Aval (Poha) Idli
Ingredients:
Raw Rice – 2 cups
Urad Dhal – 2 tablespoon
Fenugreek seeds – 1 tablespoon
Coconut gratings – 1 cup
Aval (Poha) – ½ cup
Cooking Soda – a pinch
Asafotida Powder – ½ teaspoon
Green Chillies – 2
Fresh ginger – a small piece
Oil – 1 tablespoon
Mustard – ½ teaspoon
Urad Dhal – 1 teasoon
Bengal Gram Dhal – 1 teaspoon
Cashew Nuts - few
Curry Leaves – few
Salt – 2 teaspoon or as per taste
Method:
Soak rice, Urad dhal and fenugreek in water for about 4 hours.
Soak aval in water for half an hour.
Grind soaked rice, urad dhal, fenugreek and aval to a fine paste. Add salt and mix well. Keep it over night for fermentation.
Next day morning, grind coconut gratings, green chillies and ginger to a coarse paste and add it to the rice batter. Add cooking soda and mix well. In a kadai put the oil and when it is hot add mustard. When it pops up add bengal gram and urad dhal along with cashew nuts, asafotida powder and curry leaves. When the dhals turn light brown, remove and add it to the batter. Mix well.
Grease idli plates and pour this batter and steam it in a idli cooker for ten minutes.
Serve with tomato chutney.
Note: If you want to prepare it in the evening, you need not ferment it. Instead soak the aval in buttermilk and grind it as above and make the idli immediately

Oatmeal Dosai
Ingredients:
Oatmeal – 1 cup
Rice flour – 1/2 cup
Rawa - 1/2 cup
Maida - 1 cup
Salt – 1 teaspoon
Onion – 1 chopped finely
Green Chillies – 3 to 4 chopped finely
Curry leaves - few chopped
Method:
Mix Oatmeal, rawa, maida and rice flour along with salt and add enough water to make a thick batter. Add chopped onion, curry leaves and green chillies to the batter.
Heat tawa. Wipe it with oil. Pour one big ladle of batter in the tawa and spread it. Pour a teaspoon of oil around the corners of the dosa. After it cooked oneside, flip it over and cook other side also. Remove it.
Tips:You can make this dosa with left over ordinary dosa batter also. For one cup dosa batter, add one cup oatmeal along with a pinch of salt and mix well. Make dosa as above.

One year old baby found pregnant
One year old child found pregnant in Saudi Arabia. Doctors says it’s a unique case for this world! Medical Science Report says : “When the mother of this child was pregnant, she had 2 fetuses inside her. But one of the fetus grew inside the other, this why this girl was born with the other fetus inside her womb.”
